Important Updates

Welcome to the Preschool Room.  Our goal in the Preschool Room is to provide your child with fun, structured, learning environment.  Preschoolers focus on structured play and learn in small groups in the areas of dramatic play, large and fine motor skills, science, simple math skills and writing skills.  In addition, they enjoy a daily routine that includes:  calendar, weather, reading, art, sensory skills, music and dancing, outside play, etc. many which are based around the weekly theme.  They continue to work on letters, colors, shapes, word recognition, sign language and Spanish words that go along with the weekly theme. 

 

At meal and snack times we encourage the kids to try new foods, use utensils and napkins, drink from cups, and use their manners. Side items are served family style so that each child may learn how to dish a portion for themselves.  This encourages sharing, trying new foods and the use of fine motor skills.

Field trips will be taken throughout the year.   Field trips may include, but are not limited to:

    -Apple Orchard         -Mc Donald's for lunch & play        -Splash Park       

-Picnic & Play at the park         -Pumpkin Farm          -Movie Theater

​Children should be potty trained prior to entering this room.   We understand that many are not during sleeping time, and therefore diapers and wipes will be provided if needed for nap.
